A fresh set of eyes

The status quo is not a control.

Most operations do not break loudly. They drift — a reconciliation that stopped being reviewed, a workflow inherited from someone who left a decade ago, a report nobody fully trusts but everybody uses.

And a good deal of what gets called a constraint is really a habit. Reassessing a workflow from an outside perspective routinely uncovers capacity that was already there — or defines the genuine limit precisely enough to plan around it honestly. Ledger Integrity finds the drift, separates what is fixed from what is merely familiar, and rebuilds the rails underneath.

  1. 01Does your general ledger — or the integrations feeding it — need some tender loving care?
  2. 02Are your existing internal controls actually enough?
  3. 03Can you reconcile actual cash to actual ledger balances, by location, today?
  4. 04Is there a process everyone works around because “that is just how the system is”?
  5. 05Do you need help reimagining a procedural rail that has existed for 30 years?
  6. 06Is your balance sheet lean and mean — or bloated and exploding?

What we do

Broad operational and financial expertise, applied where it moves the needle.

01

Fractional CFO leadership

Executive-level financial guidance, operating insight and board-ready reporting without the cost or commitment of a full-time hire. Sometimes called an outsourced or part-time CFO; the point is senior judgment available when it matters.

02

Operational process optimization

Map how the work actually moves rather than how the procedure says it should. Reassessing a workflow from the outside routinely uncovers throughput that was already available — and where a limit is real, it gets named precisely enough to design around.

03

General ledger & close discipline

Clean up the chart of accounts, rebuild reconciliations and establish a documented, repeatable close that finishes on time, every period.

04

Internal controls & accountability

Assess risk, close control gaps and put safeguards in place that are practical, appropriately scaled and traceable to a specific owner.

05

Process & systems modernization

Retire the workarounds, spreadsheets and legacy screens still holding a process together — and replace them with purpose-built tooling that fits how the business actually runs.

06

Cash, treasury & balance sheet

Improve cash visibility and working capital discipline, and bring every balance-sheet account back to something you can explain and defend.

07

Analytics & decision-ready reporting

Turn accounting and ERP data into concise reporting that answers the questions owners and operators are actually asking.

Recent work

Selected operational work.

These examples reflect work modernizing the operational infrastructure of a multi-location business — from cleaning up the record to rebuilding the workflows and tooling the record depends on. The work is described in general terms; the specifics stay with the client.

Controls & reconciliation

Financial records streamlined, controls made real

Rebuilt the financial record to establish robust controls and ensure reconciliations happen on time and leave documentation behind — so the close rests on evidence rather than on institutional memory.

Timely documented reconciliations

Analytics

ERP-connected analytics application

Designed and built a custom application that interfaces directly with the ERP system and delivers insight the platform cannot produce natively — putting the answers in front of decision-makers instead of in a query backlog.

Beyond native ERP reporting

Cash accountability

Legacy “green screen” cash counting, replaced

Retired a legacy cash-counting application and replaced it with purpose-built software that enforces accountability down to the location level, reconciling actual cash against actual ledger balances.

Location-level cash-to-ledger accountability

A meaningful difference

We know banking — from the inside.

Thirty years of community banking leadership changes how cash movement, treasury relationships, control environments and balance-sheet decisions get evaluated. Most finance consultants read a bank statement. Ledger Integrity has sat on the other side of it — as CFO, as BSA/AML officer, and as the person answering state and federal examiners.

Treasury services as a control

Banking platforms already contain tools that strengthen an organization’s control environment — positive pay, account structure, entitlements, sweeps, reporting feeds. Knowing which ones matter, and how to configure them, turns a vendor relationship into a genuine safeguard.

Constructive pressure on platforms

When a financial institution’s platform gets in the way, the limitation can be named precisely and fed back to the institution in language its product and operations teams can act on — the benefit of having built and run those systems.

Examiner-grade documentation

Controls that survive scrutiny look different from controls that merely exist. Years of audit coordination and regulatory reporting inform how every process is documented, evidenced and handed off.
